Carney, Derscheid Open Competition for SHU Men at Nationals

Ray Carney placed ninth in the hammer throw while Travis Derscheid moved into 11th place after the first five stages of the decathlon as Siena Heights' only two representatives on day one of the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Indiana Wesleyan.

A pair of Siena Heights women -- Lenzey Stidham and Kasey Renshaw -- earned All-America honors on Thursday at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Indiana Wesleyan.

Three Siena Heights men's golfers -- Kyle Hanson, Adam Schmaltz and Josh Short -- were honored as NAIA Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes as announced by the national body recently.

Berta Named Capital One AAA Second Team

Siena Heights softball senior Tonya Berta was named to the Capital One Academic All-America Second Team, which is chosen by CoSIDA (Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America).

Mailloux, Martin Lead All-CCLA Honorees

Siena Heights men's lacrosse sophomores Ryan Mailloux and Jordan Martin were named to the All-Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association First Team while three other Saints were named to the Second or Third Teams, as announced by the league.

Mailloux is First WHAC Men's Lax Defensive Player of Year; Four Saints Named to First Team

Siena Heights sophomore men's lacrosse goaltender Ryan Mailloux (Brighton, Mich./Brighton) was named Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Player of the Year while he and three others were named to the All-WHAC First Team, as announced by the league.

Gossett Named All-WHAC Women's Golf Honorable Mention

Siena Heights sophomore women's golfer Sydney Gossett was named All-Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Honorable Mention, as announced by the league.

Caldwell, Benschoter All-WHAC First Team, Lollo Honorable Mention

A pair of Siena Heights baseball seniors -- catcher Corey Caldwell and second baseman Kyle Benschoter -- were named to the All-Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference First Team while junior teammate Mike Lollo received an honorable mention and eight total Saints were honored on the Academic All-WHAC Team.
