The Siena Heights competitive dance team placed second at the NAIA North Regional Cheer and Dance Invitational, qualifying for Nationals, while the SHU competitive cheerleading team took sixth in its competition on Saturday at Calumet Saint Joseph (Ind.).

For the first time, the Siena Heights cheer and dance teams will get to measure themselves against other squads.The Saints will see competition on Saturday during the NAIA North Regional Cheer and Dance Invitational at Calumet Saint Joseph (Ind.).

Melissa Moellenberndt has signed a letter of intent to join the Siena Heights competitive cheer team. She is a transfer from Lansing Community College and graduate of Blissfield High School in Blissfield, Mich. Moellenberndt plans to be a Nursing major at SHU.

Sandra Walsh has signed a letter of intent to join the Siena Heights competitive cheer team. She is a transfer from Jackson Community College and graduate of East Jackson High School in Jackson, Mich. Walsh plans to be an Education major at SHU.

Charlotte Squires has signed a letter of intent to join the Siena Heights competitive dance team. Squires is a transfer from Adrian College and graduate of Lenawee Christian School in Adrian. The Britton native plans to be a Special Education major at SHU.
