The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Friday that 296 women's cross country student-athletes have been named 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Siena Heights University Women's Cross Country Runners Beth Heldmeyer and Lyndsay Payne have qualified as individuals to compete at the NAIA National Championship Meet.

Beth Heldmeyer placed third and Lyndsay Payne took fifth place as the Siena Heights women's cross country team placed fourth during the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference championships at Riverside Park on Saturday. Sixth-four runners competed.

Multiple Siena Heights Sports Teams will take to the field, court or course on Saturday with their seasons on the line.

Siena Heights Senior Lyndsay Payne was named the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending October 23rd, 2011.
