SHU Men's Golf Finishes Sixth at Second WHAC Jamboree

CALEDONIA, Mich. -- Adam Schmaltz (Walled Lake, Mich./Northern) tied for seventh at the second Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference jamboree, finishing with a two-day total of 154 (78-76), as the Siena Heights men's golf team placed sixth at the tournament that took place at Quail Ridge Golf Course on Tuesday and Stonewater Country Club on Wednesday. A total of 52 golfers competed for nine teams.

Also for the Saints, Joe Forest (Britton, Mich./Tecumseh) tied for 19th with a 159 (80-79) and Nick Campbell (Britton, Mich./Tecumseh) tied for 21st with a 160 (83-77) as the Saints finished with a team total of 634 (323-311).

Davenport won the team event, finishing with a 612 (309-303). Northwestern Ohio's Keith Long was the medalist with a 149 (77-72).

Siena Heights will return to competition on Sept. 21-22 when it takes part in the Bill Bockwitz Invitational at Spring Arbor.
