Heldmeyer Leads SHU Women's XC at National Catholic Meet

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Beth Heldmeyer (Plymouth, Mich./Plymouth) placed 66th individually in 19:05 as the Siena Heights women's cross country team placed 30th at the the National Catholic Championships at Notre Dame (Ind.).

As a team, the Saints scored 856 points. Host Notre Dame won the meet with 21 points and was led by top finisher Rebecca Tracy (17:11).

Also for SHU, Melanie Glinski (Adrian, Mich./Sand Creek) took 192nd in 21:06, Morgan Choszczyk (Webberville, Mich./Webberville) was 220th in 21:38, Carrie Zubke (Adrian, Mich./Madison) finished 235th in 22:15 and Katelyn Boulton (Monroe, Mich./Ida) placed 250th in 23:08 to round out the scoring.

The Saints will compete next on Sept. 28 at the Lansing Invitational.
