ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights athletic teams have compiled their winter semester grade--point averages with outstanding results.
The Saints' athletic department includes 21 teams and 443 student-athletes. Those student-athletes combined for a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20. The 163 women’s athletes combined for an average of 3.53, while the men came in at 3.0.
The SHU women's soccer team achieved the highest team average with a GPA of 3.43. The women’s bowling team came in with an average of 3.38, while the men’s soccer and men's golf teams achieved 3.3 averages. Other teams that eclipsed the 3.0 mark included men's volleyball, men's bowling, baseball, softball, women's golf, women's lacrosse, women's track and field, women's volleyball and women's basketball.
Siena Heights Athletic Director Fred Smith commented, “We are incredibly proud of our professors, coaches, and most of all our student-athletes."
