Saints' Men Struggle at Aquinas
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team suffered a 74-53 loss to Aquinas on Saturday in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action.
Nick Kosovich (Shelby Township, Mich./Romeo) had 10 points and six rebounds while Cecil Clark (Ferndale, Mich./Ferndale) contributed 10 points, but SHU struggled for the most part on offense: 21 of 70 from the field (30.0) and 6 of 24 from three-point land (25.0).
Aquinas (8-10, 4-2), which held a 63-31 rebounding advantage, was led by Joe Powers' 23 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.
Brett Pfahler added 16 points and Ken Gordon put in 10. Jake Shockey, Tyler Moreland and Zach Eddy grabbed 10, eight and seven rebounds, respectively, for the visitors.
Siena Heights (5-12, 2-4) will return to action on Wednesday when it hosts WHAC opponent Concordia for a 7:30 p.m. tip off.
