Men's Cross Country Takes Sixth at Michigan Intercollegiates

HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's cross country team placed sixth among 22 teams at the Michigan Intercollegiate Meet at Hillsdale.

David Weeks (Eaton Rapids, Mich./Eaton Rapids) led the Saints, placing 29th with a time of 27:13.

Mark Haukereid (Bridgeman, Mich./Bridgeman), Zach Widner (Detroit, Mich./Weston Prep) and Justin Bateson (Blissfield, Mich./Blissfield) finished within four seconds of each other. Haukereid placed 36th in 27:23, Widner was 38th in 27:25 and Bateson snagged 40th in 27:27.

Jesiah Rodriguez (Erie, Mich./Erie Mason) rounded out the team scoring, taking 46th in 27:42.

Also for SHU, Kyle Smith (Shelby Township, Mich./De La Salle) placed 65th in 28:08 and Andrew Mark (Lowell, Mich./Lowell) was 101st in 29:11.

The Saints will run next at the Falcon Invitational, which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 15, at Bowling Green State (Ohio).
