SHU Men's Golf Takes Second at WHAC Jamboree #4, Finishes Second in Regular Season

CANTON, Mich. -- Dylan Orr (Britton, Mich./Tecumseh) shot a two-over-par 74 and placed second individually among 45 golfers, leading the Siena Heights men's team to a second-place finish at the fourth Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree, hosted by Concordia at par-72 Pheasant Run. The Saints also tied for second in the WHAC regular season.

Nicholas Campbell (Britton, Mich./Tecumseh) and Kyle Hanson (Adrian, Mich./Tecumseh) tied for ninth with 78s for the Saints, who had a team score of 309 to place behind only Davenport (306).

Joe Lemanski (Walled Lake, Mich./Northern) added a 79 to tie for 16th, Jake Agruda (Adrian, Mich./Madison) had an 80, tying for 21st, and Dan Pollock (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) tied for 28th with an 82.

Agruda was awarded with a spot on the All-WHAC First Team. In four WHAC jamborees, he compiled a four-round total of 309 (21-over-par) -- good enough for a 77.3 average. His best round was a 75, which tied him for third at Jamboree #2, which was hosted by Indiana Tech at Coyote Creek Golf Club in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Davenport's Adrian Balbas was the medalist of Jamboree #4 with an even-par 70. He also placed first among all WHAC regular season participants.

Davenport and Siena Heights were followed, in order, by three third-place teams -- Indiana Tech, Madonna and Northwestern Ohio (313) -- Cornerstone (327), Aquinas (328) and Concordia (364).

In the regular season standings, Davenport placed first with a final score of 1,211, followed by Madonna and SHU (both with 1,230), Northwestern Ohio (1,250), Indiana Tech (1,268), Cornerstone (1,280), Aquinas (1,298), Concordia (1,433) and Lourdes, Ohio (no team score).
