GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Siena Heights University men’s golf team opened up its 2011 season with an impressive second-place finish in the season's WHAC Jamboree.
Leading the way for the Saints was Nick Campbell and Dan Pollock who both shot a three-over-par 74 on the day -- good enough to tie for a fourth-place finish.
Coming in just behind Campbell and Pollock were Jake Agruda and Kyle Hanson who both shot 76s round to tie for 11th.
With their top four scores, the Saints shot 300 as a team -- five strokes behind only Davenport (295).
Madonna finished third with a 304, followed by Northwestern Ohio (306), Aquinas (317), Indiana Tech (322), Cornerstone (324), Concordia (338) and Lourdes (DNF).
Other men competing for the Saints were Joe Lemanski, who shot an 81 for 29th place, and Dylan Orr, who shot an 83 for 32nd good for a 32nd place finish.
The Saints will return to action on Sept. 19 when they take part in the season's second WHAC Jamboree, which will be hosted by Northwestern Ohio.
