11/21/2009-Saints Lose 1st of the Year at Huntington

The Siena Heights Women's Basketball Team lost their first game of the season to Huntington by a score of 68-57.

The Saints had a lackluster first half, but played even with the Forresters in the second half with each team getting 31 points.  On the game, the free throws, or lack there of proved to be the difference in the game.  Huntington shot 24-38 from the strip while the Saints only got to the line 20 times, making 15 of them.

The Saints were led by Erin Cassidy who had 16 points.  Shalaha Hubbard scored in double digits for her thirs straight game with 11 points while Tanci Levit added 10 points.  Levit and Cassidy each had seven rebounds to lead the Saints, while Levit led the team with four assists.  Hubbard and Cassidy each had two steals for the Saints.

With the loss, the Saints fall to 2-1 on the season.  They will return to action on Tuesday night when they host cross town rival Adrian College at 7:30 pm.
