The Siena Heights Women’s Basketball Team went on the road and squared off with Olivet College in the Olivet College Tournament and came away with a huge 66-46 win.

In a lackluster first half for the Saints, they found themselves outshot 52% to only 32% from the floor leading them to a seven point halftime deficit.  However, in the second half, the Saints were all business outscoring the Comets by a margin of 42-15.  They outshot the Comets 53% to 22% including a 0-11 clip from the Comets from three point land.  The Saints also won the turnover battle by forcing the Comets into 29 turnovers compared to only 11 for the Saints.

Leading the way once again for the Saints was Shalaha Hubbard who led the team with 14 points, her fifth straight game with double digit points.  Hubbard is averaging 17.6 points per game on the season thus far.  Hubbard was joined by three other Saints who hit double digits, Chandler Levit with a career high 12 points, along with Lauren Crockett and She’Meika Nicholson with their season highs of 10 points each.  Levit and Erin Cassidy led the Saints with five rebounds each, while Nicholson led the Saints with three assists, and Cassidy led the team with three steals.

With the win, the Saints move to 4-1 on the young season.  They will return to action on Saturday when they face Calvin College at the Olivet College Tournament.
