The Siena Heights Women's Basketball Team travelled to Kentucky and came away with an impressive 82-66 win over the University of Rio Grande.
The Saints used an impressive shooting day to build a 47-33 halftime lead. The Saints shot 56.7% from the floor including a 60% clip from the three point arch, shooting 9-15 in the first half, as well as a 4-4 effort from the free throw stripe.
In the second half, the Saints again shot the ball well, hitting 50% of their shots for a game total of 53.6% from the floor, 55% from three point land, and 78.6% from the charity line.
The Saints had four players all hit double digits in points with Tanci Levit leading the team with 21 points. She was followed by Shalaha Hubbard who continued her hot play with 19 points, Erin Cassidy with 14 points, and Chandler Levit with 13 points. Cassidy pulled in the double-double with a game high 11 rebounds. Lauren Crockett led the Saints with five assists, while five Saints each had one steal and three Saints had one block each.
With the win, the Saints move to 6-2 on the season. They will return to action on Saturday when they play at Georgetown University.
