The Siena Heights Women’s Basketball Team fell at Georgetown College by a final score of 73-49.
In the first half, the game remained close as going into the break, the Saints found themselves on the down side of a 35-30 game. However, an 18-8 run to start the 2nd half by Georgetown all but finished the game. In the end, the Saints were outscored by almost 20 points in the second half, a final margin of 38-19 in the half.
The Saints were able to shoot only 28% on the game, compared to over45% from Georgetown. The boards played a part in the game, as the Saints were outrebounded by a margin of 39-27 and gave up 24 second chance points, compared to scoring only four second chance points. Georgetown also got 33 points off their bench while the Saints had only 17 points scored off the bench.
Leading the way for the Saints once again was Shalaha Hubbard who scored a team high 12 points. Tanci Levit was the only other Saint to reach double digits with 10 points scored. Erin Cassidy was the leading rebounder with five boards. Levit also led the team with three assists.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 6-3 on the season. They will return to action on Tuesday night when they travel to Calumet College of St. Joseph before returning home on Thursday night to host Holy Cross College.
