The Men’s Basketball team beat Harris-Stowe State University 65-55, therefore, winning two out of the three games at the St. Xavier Christmas Tournament and finishing in third place.
Tonight the Saints were powered by five players scoring in double digits and two players pulling down double digit rebounds. Cortney Smith led the Saints with 19 points and 13 rebounds. For his performance in the tournament Smith was named to the All-Tournament team. Chris Shiels scored ten points and pulled down ten rebounds to help Smith in the paint. Brent Reynolds scored 12 points, outdoing Logan Mathews by one point. Mark Snipes rounded out the Saints double digit scorers with ten points. Snipes also added five assists.
The 15th ranked Saints improve to 12-2 overall. They will play their next game on the 29th at the Notre Dame College tournament.
