1/20/2010-Snipes Leads Saints to Win at Indiana Tech

The Siena Heights Men's Basketball Team went on the road and defeated Indiana Tech by a score of 66-60.

The Saints found themselves up by only one point with a 32-32 lead at the halftime break despite outshooting Tech by a margin of 36% to only 25%.  However, in the second half, the Saints earned the win with a 34-29 second half advantage inlcuding a 25-33 effort for the game from the free throw line.

Leading the way for the Saints was Mark Snipes with 19 points.  Chris Shiels added 13 points while both Logan Mathews and Brent Reynolds each added 12 points.  Shiels also led the Saints with seven rebounds while four Saints each had two assists; Reynolds, Snipes, Sean Nowaczyk, and Chase Mann.  Reynolds and Mathews each had two steal to lead the team.

With the win, the Saints move to 17-4 overall and 4-1 in the WHAC.  They will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Cornerstone who is currently ranked 13th in the nation.  The Saints will return home on Wednesday night when they face UM-Dearborn at 7:30 pm.
