Esports Weekly Recap: FIFA Stays Undefeated as Super Smash Bros., Heartstone, Overwatch, Madden, and League of Legends Compete

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights Esports program picked up a couple of wins during the week of competition. Lucas Carvalho remained undefeated as his opponent forfeited the match at the last minute. Carvalho will face another undefeated opponent from Finlandia University on Monday night.

HEARTHSTONE

Took its first loss this season to Bryant University. A slow start doomed the Saints in a 3-1 defeat. The game can be viewed here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CAmBg1JAiETomorrow. The Hearthstone Saints face the University of Delaware this week.

OVERWATCH

Put one in the win column with a 3-1 win over Randolph Macon College. The team's communication and callouts helped push the Saints to make good decisions on the maps of Nepal, Rialto, Volskaya Industries, and King's Row. MADDEN

The SHU Madden players went 3-1 on the week. Zach Reid, Jarrett Thatcher, and George Talley III each picked up blow-out wins over their opponents to propel the Saints to the win.

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

The team lost the first game of the season against Montana State, 2-0. SHU had a missed opportunity in the drafting phase of the game and as a result, weren't able to compete with their best legends against Montana State.
