KANSAS CITY -- Siena Heights junior Trevon Claybourne was selected as an honorable mention in the 2018 NAIA All-America release on Thursday afternoon.
The Redford, Michigan native, finished the 2018 campaign leading the team with four interceptions while totaling 32 tackles and forcing a fumble. Claybourne's first interception came in the season-opening win against Missouri Baptist. His next interception didn't come until the sixth game of the year against Saint Francis (Ind.). He had back-to-back games with an interception against Indiana Wesleyan and Marian (Ind.) for his third and fourth interceptions on the year. His four interceptions tied for third in single-season totals in program history.
He also added 2.5 tackles for loss for a total of six yards as well as eight pass breakups to his stat line.
