OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team finished second at the Lourdes Invitational at The Legacy Golf Club in Ottawa Lake, Michigan. James Kuenzer (Hillsdale, Mich.) won the tournament by two strokes with a 74 (+2) and made the all-tournament team.
Aaron Bitz (Monroe, Mich.) tied for second with a 76 (+4) to also be named to the all-tournament team. Colin Duffy (Pinckney, Mich.) finished with a score of 80 (+8) for a six-way tie for eighth that included teammate Davis Longyear (Stevensville, Mich.). Brock Williams (Marion, Ohio) shot an 83 (+11) to tie for 25th. Jimmy Monteith (Dearborn, Mich.) tied for 27th with a final score of 84 (+12). Andrew Westphal (Oconto, Wis.) also shot an 84 to tie for 27th. Nate Hamilton (Plymouth, Mich.) finished with an 85 (+13) to tie for 31st. Grady Morlock (Adrian, Mich.) was the final Saint golfer. He tied for 56th with a 93 (+21). Kuenzer, Bitz, Duffy, Monteith, and Morlock were the five scoring golfers for SHU in the tournament.
The men's golf team returns to competition on Friday, October 4 at The Mines Golf Course in Grand Rapids, Michigan for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Jamboree #2.
