Siena Heights men's volleyball members Emmanuel Chaidez and Keegan Crawford took two of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) weekly awards this week. Chaidez was awarded the men's volleyball attacker of the week while Crawford received the setter of the week.
Chaidez totaled 45 kills in four matches, an average of 11.25 per match, to help the Saints to a 3-1 record over the weekend at the Judson Tournament. The Aurora, Illinois native also contributed on at the net with 11 total blocks on the weekend.
Crawford paced the SHU attack all weekend as averaged 33.5 assists per match on his way to a total of 134 assists in four matches at this weekend's tournament. He added 14 kills and five service aces to further his assistance on offense while adding 23 digs and six blocks to contribute on defense.
These are the first weekly awards for the men's volleyball program this season and they are also the first awards of Chaizez and Crawford's careers.
