CHICAGO, Ill. -- Najee Brazzle finished with 16 points off the bench as the Siena Heights women's basketball team used a dominant first half to defeat Grace (Ind.), 80-47, in a Roosevelt Holiday Tournament semifinal on Saturday.
Sierra Calhoun, Alexxis Knannlein and Morgan Warfield added 11 points apiece for the Saints (8-5), who shot 72.4 percent from the field in the first half (21 of 29), including 75 percent from 3-point land (9 of 12). For the game, Siena Heights was 63 percent from the field (29 of 46).
SHU led 55-20 at halftime, going on consecutive-point runs of 20 and 11 during a stretch in which it outscored Grace, 34-5. During the second half, the Saints' largerst lead was 74-28.
Jessie Arnold was SHU's leading rebounder, finishing with five boards. Howrigon made nine assists.
Allison Kaufman had 10 points to lead Grace, which was held to a 25-percent shooting performance from the field in the first half (6 of 24).
Siena Heights will return to action at the tournament on Sunday when it meets 10th-ranked Midland (Neb.) in the championship game. Midland defeated the host, No. 11 Roosevelt (Ill.), on Saturday, 75-68.
