ADRIAN, Mich. -- Mackenzie Tomasik and Morgan Warfield scored 15 points apiece as the 20th-ranked Siena Heights women's basketball team cruised to an 89-44 victory over Marygrove in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action at the SHU Fieldhouse on Saturday.
Siena Heights opened the game on an 11-0 run and never looked back. SHU added another 11-point streak in the first half, which was the beginning of a 28-6 stretch, and took a 51-21 lead into halftime.
The Saints went 18 of 32 from the field in the first half (56.3 percent), including 4 of 11 from three-point land (36.4 percent).
Visiting Marygrove (4-22, 2-16) was led by Raeha Weaver and Elisha Major, who scored 12 points apiece. Janeesa Jamierson contributed 11 points and six rebounds while Micaiah King grabbed 12 boards.
The Mustangs shot 12 of 67 for the game (17.9 percent) and was 5 of 30 from beyond the arc (16.7 percent).
For the game, Siena Heights outrebounded Marygrove, 62-40.
The Saints will be in action next on Wednesday when they visit Cornerstone for a 5:30 p.m. WHAC tip-off.
