Women's Hoops Drops Decision to LTU

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Seina Heights women's basketball team dropped a 59-57 decision to conference opponent Lawrence Tech, on Saturday.

The Saints led at the end of the first quarter, but the Blue Devils took the lead in the second quarter and held out for the remainder of the game.

Siena Heights leading scorer was Jaaliyah Arrington, who put up 12 points and grabbed four rebounds. Arrington also had three steals, one block and one assist.

Also getting in the double digits was Clara Waidley, with 10 points and one assist for SHU. April Watson led the Saints in rebounds with eight.

Lawrence Tech had two driving forces to put away the Saints. Christina Henry totaled 21 points, five rebounds and three assists. With 17 points and 9 rebounds, Hali Butler helped the Blue Devils (4-0, 3-0) to victory.

SHU (2-2, 1-2) will be back in action when they take on cross-town rival, Adrian, on Tuesday. Tip off is at 6 p.m., followed by the men's basketball team at 8 p.m.
