#10 Women's Lacrosse Drops Contest to #2 Davenport in WHAC Play

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The No. 10 ranked Siena Heights women's lacrosse team hosted the 2nd-ranked Davenport Panthers in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest on Wednesday. The Saints dropped the contest by a score of 19-11.

With 18:34 remaining in the first half, Siena Heights (11-6, 7-6 WHAC) scored a goal to make it 4-3. After that, the Panthers scored 11 unanswered goals, giving them a comfortable 14-3 advantage. SHU was not able to gain enough traction to make the comeback.

Kayla Parks, Natalie Williams and Aliisa Mason each scored three goals for Siena Heights. Williams added three assists. Tabitha Ferguson suffered the loss in net for the Saints making six saves. 

Brooke Knoll led the way for DU (13-2, 12-1 WHAC) with eight goals. Tara Pluger recorded a team high, five assists on the night. Samantha Powers grabbed the win in goal for Davenport with six saves. 

The Saints will be back in action on Saturday, April 22, when they host Aquinas in a WHAC contest. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
