Saints Take a Loss Against Calvin

Grand Rapids, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team lost today a score of 20 to 7.

Records: SHU 1-4, Calvin 3-1

HOW IT HAPPENED

Calvin College got out to an early lead on the Saints as they scored four goals in a row to open up the first half. Finally SHU got on the board with 23 minutes left in the first half when Mackenzie Fisette scored on a free position shot to make the game 4-1. Then the Knights put up four more goals in a row against the Saints to make it a 8-1. Siena would get back on the board with 14th minutes left in the first half when Alexis Nicole made it a 8-2 game. After another goal by Calvin, Natalie Williams would score to make it 9-3. The Knights would wrap up the first half with four more goals to make it a 13-3.

Alexis Nicole would score to opening up the scoring in the second half on a free position shot. Calvin got another goal after to make it 14-4. With 26 minutes left Nichole would score again on a free position shot to make it 14-5. Calvin had back to back goals when Natalie Williams netted a ball for SHU to make it a 16-6 game. Shortly after Casey Rappuhn scored on a free position shot to make it 16-7. Calvin then would score four more goals in a row to finish the game with a final score of 20-7.
