Women's Volleyball Splits a Pair to Open the weekend in Chicago

CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball split its first two matches at the Saint Xavier/Trinity Christian Crossover on Friday, defeating Mount Mercy (Iowa), 3-1, but falling to Trinity Christian (Ill.), 3-0.

Halie Baker had 10 kills and Mckenzie Wright contributed nine kills for the Saints who took the four-set match against Mount Mercy, 25-27, 25-13, 25-22, 25-15.

Carly Tillotson added 26 assists and Nicole Morgan made nine digs for SHU (1-2).

In the loss, Siena Heights dropped sets, 25-12, 25-19, 25-17.

Brianna Baker had seven kills, Tillotson made 13 assists and Mycala Cherry finished with nine digs.

The Saints will wrap up play at the crossover on Saturday.
