Saints' Women's Volleyball Suffers Heartbreaker at LU

SYLVANIA, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team fell in its non-conference season opener to Lourdes (Ohio), 3-2, on Wednesday.

The Saints (0-1) held a 2-1 match lead, dropping the first set, 25-15, before winning the next two, 25-15 and 25-18. The host Gray Wolves then won the final two sets, 26-24 and 15-9.

Halie Baker had 16 kills while Brianna Baker contributed 14 kills and 15 digs.

Also for SHU, Carly Tillotson made 38 assists and 16 digs. Nicole Morgan and Haley Mercy added 13 and 10 digs, respectively, while Chelsea Doyle made four total blocks.

For Lourdes, Annie Pagan-Perez led the way with 12 kills and 14 digs. Lexie Curtis added 31 assists and 12 digs for the Gray Wolves (3-2).

The Saints will return to action with four matches this weekend at the Saint Xavier/Trinity Christian Crossover.
