Women's Volleyball Splits on Saturday, Finishes Crossover with Three Wins

PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team fell to Saint Francis (Ill.), 3-0, and then defeated Mount Mercy (Iowa), 3-1, during Saturday's Saint Xavier/Trinity Christian Crossover action at Trinity Christian (Ill.).

SHU dropped sets of 25-21, 25-13, 25-23, to Saint Francis.

Rachel Cornish had seven kills and Carly Tillotson made 21 assists for the Saints (3-1) against USF. Halie Baker added 10 digs.

Against Mount Mercy, SHU won by scores of 27-25, 24-26, 25-23, 25-20. Baker led the way with 17 kills while Tillotson made 43 assists and six aces.

Also for the Saints, Nicole Morgan made 19 digs and Abbie Whitehead had three total blocks.

Siena Heights will return to action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. with its Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opener at Davenport.
