Women's Volleyball Splits During Pool Play in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team split a pair of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matches on Saturday, defeating Concordia, 3-0, before falling to host Indiana Tech, 3-0.

Mycala Cherry finished with 12 kills and 11 digs as the Saints earned a 25-17, 25-20, 25-19, sweep of the Cardinals.

Carly Tillotson added 35 assists and 10 digs while Alexis McIntosh and Halie Baker contributed nine and eight kills, respectively, for SHU.

Nicole Morgan contributed 12 digs on defense.

Autumn VanKirk had 11 kills to lead Concordia. Hannah Staples added 24 assits and 10 digs while Julia Szuba finished with 13 digs.

In their second match of the day, the Saints dropped a 25-16, 25-21, 25-19, decision to the Warriors.

Baker and Leze Vukaj smacked nine kills each. Tillotson compiled 31 assists and 10 digs while Morgan finished with 13 digs.

For Indiana Tech, Katelyn St. Martin had eight kills and 10 digs. Karli Jones and Emileen Palka chipped in with 17 and 12 assists, respectively, while Kelso finished with 12 digs.

The Saints (17-11, 9-10) will return to action on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. WHAC contest at Aquinas.
