LIMA, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team took on Northwestern Ohio in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest on Friday. The Saints grabbed their fifteenth win of the season as they defeated the Racers in five sets.
The Saints (15-2, 5-1 WHAC) came out hot, winning the first two sets but the Racers (12-9, 1-5 WHAC) were not done. They rallied back and stole the third and fourth, forcing a fifth set. SHU was able to finish off UNOH in the final set and grab the match win. Set scores were 25-23, 25-20, 17-25, 23-25 and 15-10.
Paige Hudgin led the Saints attack with 14 kills while adding 20 digs. Christine Tylutki follwed close behind adding 12 kills and a team high 22 digs. Amanda Metz dished out 38 assists and Libby Breton finished with a team best, five assisted blocks. Abby Whitehead contributed four assisted blocks.
Next up, Siena Heights will travel to for a WHAC contest at Aquinas on Wednesday, Oct. 4. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
