Women's Volleyball Falls to #16 Madonna in WHAC Play

LIVONIA, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team traveled to take on No. 16 Madonna in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest on Friday. The Saints dropped the match, 3-1. 

SHU (22-4, 8-3 WHAC) started off strong, winning the first set, 25-23. In the second set, the Crusaders answered, tying the match with a set score of 23-25. Madonna (26-3, 11-0 WHAC) grabbed the third and fourth set, closing out the match with set scores of 10-25 and 22-25. 

Leading the Saints attack was Christine Tylutki with 14 kills, also adding 11 digs. Amanda Metz dished out 36 assists on the night while Gabrielle Kalugar, led the way with 19 digs and Paige Hudgin adding 16. Libby Breton finished with a team high, six blocks. 

Siena Heights will be back in action, on Saturday, Oct. 21 as they head to Michigan-Dearborn for a WHAC match-up. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
