John Kalugar Promoted to Assistant Coach

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Siena Heights head men's and women's volleyball coach Kim Berrington announced that John Kalugar was hired to assistant coach with the program. He spent the last two seasons as the graduate assistant for the Saints volleyball programs.

"We are very fortunate to have John back with the program," said coach Berrington. "His energy, enthusiasm, and knowledge of how we do things are assets as we continue to move the program forward.  He is an outstanding technician and will be valuable in skill development for our athletes."

The Lake Orion native played collegiately at Siena Heights for three seasons while pursuing his bachelor's degree in business administration. He was named first-team all-conference as a libero during his time as a student-athlete at SHU.

In 2014, Kalugar joined the staff of the Legacy Volleyball Club where he played an important role in two national championship squads as well as one national runner-up team.

Kalugar graduated from Siena Heights with his bachelors in business administration in 2017 and his masters in organizational leadership in 2019.
