Saints' Women's Bowling Takes 17th at Raider Classic

KETTERING, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's bowling team placed 17th out of 21 teams at the Wright State (Ohio) Raider Classic at Capri Lanes over the weekend. The Saints finished with a total pin count of 7,100.

Celsie Van Loon (Grass Lake, Mich./Grass Lake) was the team's top performer on Saturday, averaging 166.8 to place 46th. Amanda Blackwell (Ferndale, Mich./Ferndale) took 47th with an average of 166.6.

On Sunday, the squad averaged 159.5 in Baker game competition.

The Saints now have a break for the rest of the 2011 calendar year. They will resume competition on Jan. 14 and 15 at the Hoinke Bearcat Open in Cincinnati, Ohio.
