Blackwell Fires 200s to Lead SHU Women's Bowling at AHIBC IV
CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Amanda Blackwell (Sterling Heights, Mich./Bishop Foley) tossed a seven-game total of 1,175, leading the Siena Heights women's bowling team to 14th place at the fourth American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference event of the season at Western Bowl. As a team, SHU had a score of 5,578.
Blackwell had games of 220 and 202 while compiling a 167.86 average. She placed 38th.
Katarina Coulson (Greenwood, Ind./Whiteland) was 46th out of 112 bowlers while Amanda McConeghy (Spring Arbor, Mich./Hanover-Horton) finished 57th. Coulson totaled 1,126 (160.86 average) and McConeghy had 1,079.
Two Saint bowlers tied for 63rd. They were Amy Parker (Toledo, Ohio/Bowsher) and Hillary Weiss (Clayton, Mich./Onsted), who totaled 1,014 (144.86).
Wright State (Ohio) won the 19-team event, finishing with a score of 5,578. It was led by top bowler Kristen Kennan, who had a 1,408 (201.14 average).
The Saints will return to action on Feb. 25 when they compete in the AHIBC Championships at Crest Lanes in Warren, Ohio.
