Payne 68th, Heldmeyer 176th at NAIA Women's XC Championships

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Lyndsay Payne (Perry, Mich./Perry) placed 68th and Beth Heldmeyer (Plymouth, Mich.) took 176th while representing the Siena Heights women's cross country team at the NAIA Cross Country Championships, which were held at the Fort Vancouver National History Site.



Payne finished the five-kilometer course in 19:09 while Heldmeyer's time was 19:53.



California State San Marcos won the NAIA Championship with 82 points. The top finisher was Obsie Birru of Grand View (Iowa). Birru's time was 17:15.
