Jessica Behnke with parents Curt and CharylADRIAN, Mich. – Jessica Behnke has signed a letter of intent to join the Siena Heights women's soccer team.

Behnke will graduate from Warren Cousino High School in Warren, Mich. this spring. After that, she will look to join the Siena Heights women’s soccer team, including older sister Natalie, who played for the Saints as a freshman last fall. Jessica is a center defender and looks to gain playing time next to Natalie who is an outside defender.

Behnke is a well decorated student-athlete at Cousino and with her Michigan Burn club team. In the classroom, she has been on the honor roll every semester of her high school career, she belongs to the National Honor Society and has been recognized on the All-Conference Academic Team.  On the field some of her accolades include: All-Macomb Area Conference First Team, All-District First Team, All-County Third Team, and team Most Valuable Player. Behnke helped lead the Cousino Patriots to the 2011 MAC Blue Division championship. She also plays basketball and helped the Patriots to a 2010 district championship on the court as well.

“The school is a good fit, with a good atmosphere,” Behnke said.  “I also like the team and think I will fit in well with them.”

Siena Heights coach Scott Oliver commented, “Jessica is a great addition to this program. For one, she is a very talented and decorated soccer player. Jessica is also a very bright student with great drive. She has a friendly personality, except for when you play against her. Jessica is going to be a great Saint!”
