The NAIA released their Scholar Team Honorees from the 2024-2025 academic year recently with 22 Siena Heights Saints Athletic Programs honored. The Saints had 22 of their 25 qualifying programs who earned this award.
In order to earn this award, a team must earn at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in the fall and winter semester accounting for all students who compete in a varsity competition during the year.
Leading the way for the Saints was the Women's Lacrosse team who finished with a 3.71 GPA, good for the 3rd highest mark in women's lacrosse across the NAIA. Other teams that earned a spot in the top 15 of their respective sports were the Women's Wrestling team (3.21 GPA), the 7th highest women's wrestling team, the Competitive Dance team (3.49 GPA), the 8th highest competitive dance team, the Competitive Cheer team (3.45 GPA), the 14th highest competitive cheer team, and the Women's Volleyball team (3.70 GPA), the 15th highest women's volleyball team.
Rounding out the top five spots for Siena Heights were the Women's Cross Country team (3.67 GPA), the Women's Soccer team (3.60 GPA) and the Softball team (3.53 GPA). The top men's team at Siena Heights was the Men's Golf team with a 3.52 GPA.
The other teams that earned this distinction were Men's Cross Country (3.47 GPA), Women's Indoor Track & Field (3.43 GPA), Women's Outdoor Track & Field (3.43 GPA), Women's Golf (3.41 GPA), Men's Lacrosse (3.37 GPA), Baseball (3.29 GPA), Women's Bowling (3.29 GPA), Men's Bowling (3.18 GPA), Men's Indoor Track & Field (3.09 GPA), Men's Outdoor Track & Field (3.09 GPA), Women's Basketball (3.02 GPA), and Men's Soccer (3.01 GPA).
