Cole VanWasshenova was a third baseman for the Saints from 2021-2024 and combined elite defense with consistent offensive production. He earned the NAIA Gold Glove in 2022 and was a two-time WHAC Gold Glove recipient. VanWasshenova also earned First Team All-WHAC honors once.
His achievements extended beyond the field, as he was named a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete and a two-time Academic All-WHAC honoree.
VanWasshenova concluded his career ranked among the program’s all-time leaders in numerous categories, finishing 7th in batting average (.330), 7th in hits (196), 10th in RBI (102), 3rd in runs scored (152), 5th in doubles (41), 9th in at-bats (594), 8th in stolen bases (38), and 3rd in walks (125).
In 2024, he posted 43 RBI and scored 47 runs, ranking among the top 10 single-season marks in program history in both categories. His 39 walks in 2022 stand as one of the top single-season totals in Saints history, further highlighting his offensive discipline and impact.
