The following was printed on the 2014 Football Team's Hall of Fame Plaque.

The 2014 football team stands as the only conference championship team in Siena Heights history. After starting the season with two losses to NCAA Division II teams, the Saints secured their first win in non-conference play to close out September. When conference play began in October, the Saints upset highly favored and nationally ranked St. Francis (Ind.) on the road.

A loss at Marian—the eventual national runner-up—was the only blemish in conference play. The Saints went undefeated the rest of the way, finishing the season 6-4 overall, with a 5-1 conference record and a 4-1 mark at home.

Kyle Connors was named an NAIA 1st Team All-American. Jim Lyall earned MSFA Mideast Coach of the Year honors, while Matt Kohn was named MSFA Mideast Assistant Coach of the Year. Gauge Aebersold, Trent Bragg, Donovan Campbell, Kyle Connors, CJ Marious, and Darius Price all earned 1st Team MSFA Mideast honors. Nic Acton, Reggie Blackmon, Jake Helsel, and Cha’Quan Love were awarded 2nd Team honors. Tyler Karcher, Jordan Martin, and Travis Zajkowski received Honorable Mention All-MSFA Mideast recognition. Trent Bragg, Tyler Karcher, and Raphael Dunson also earned MSFA Mideast Player of the Week honors during the season.

The Saints roster included nine SHU Hall of Famers: Gauge Aebersold, Trent Bragg, Kyle Connors, Raphael Dunson, Malik Edwards, DeShawn Gilbert, CJ Marious, Darius Price, and Davonte Price. They were coached by Hall of Fame coaches Jim Lyall and Matt Kohn, along with SHU Hall of Fame standout Fred Butler.
