Gauge Aebersold was a two-sport standout for the Saints, competing with the Track & Field team from 2011–12 through 2014–15. He was also an original member of the football team, playing from 2011 to 2014.

Aebersold excelled as an offensive lineman, earning First Team All-MSFA Mideast honors once and Honorable Mention All-MSFA Mideast honors twice during his career. He was a key contributor to the 2014 MSFA Mideast Championship and Hall of Fame football team.

In Track & Field, Aebersold was a dominant thrower. He was a back-to-back NAIA National Champion in the shot put at the 2014 and 2015 Outdoor Track & Field National Championships. He also qualified for the Indoor National Championship Meet in the shot put in 2012, 2013, and 2014, and competed in the 2013 Outdoor National Championships in the shot put as well as the 2015 Outdoor Championships in the discus. He placed 7th in the outdoor shot put in 2013 and 5th in the indoor shot put in 2014.

Over the course of his career, Aebersold finished in the top three in ten WHAC Championship events, including five first-place finishes, three second-place finishes, and two third-place finishes. His victories include the 2013 Indoor, 2014 Indoor, 2013 Outdoor, and 2014 Outdoor shot put titles, as well as the 2015 Outdoor discus title.

Aebersold still holds the Siena Heights records for both indoor and outdoor shot put, with an indoor mark of 56' 8.75" set in 2014 and an outdoor mark of 59' 7.5" set in 2015.

He was also a member of the Hall of Fame 2012–13, 2013–14, and 2014–15 Men’s Track & Field teams.
