The following was written on Malik Edwards' Hall of Fame Plaque:
Malik Edwards was a defensive lineman for the Saints from 2015 to 2018. Edwards was named First Team All-MSFA Mideast twice and earned Honorable Mention All-MSFA Mideast once. He holds the single-game record for sacks with 3.5 against Missouri Baptist in 2018.
At the end of his career, Edwards held the school records for career fumble return yards (58) and career sacks (21.5). His 100 yards from sacks also topped the SHU record books upon graduation. Edwards ranked 2nd in tackles for loss (33.5), 2nd in yards from tackles for loss (137), 2nd in quarterback hurries (8), and 2nd in blocked kicks (2).
In 2018, Edwards set several single-season records, including 52 fumble return yards (1st), 10.5 tackles for loss (4th), 8.5 sacks (2nd), and 31 yards from sacks (4th). His 5.5 sacks in 2016 were also the 4th highest single-season mark at that time.
