Hall of Fame

The following was printed on A.J. Knox's Hall of Fame Plaque:

A.J. Knox was a defensive lineman for the Saints from 2021–2025 and established himself as one of the most productive defenders in program history. During the 2025 season, Knox earned NAIA Second Team All-American honors, along with First Team All–MSFA Mideast recognition. He also received MSFA Mideast Defensive Player of the Week honors during his career.

Knox’s name appears throughout the Saints record books, highlighted by a standout performance against Madonna in 2025 when he recorded three sacks. That effort tied for the second-most sacks in a single game in SHU history and made him one of only nine Saints ever to record three or more sacks in a game.

The 2025 season was a historic one for Knox, as he set three single-season school records: sacks (10.5), yards from sacks (73), and yards from tackles for loss (112). He also posted the third-highest single-season total in tackles for loss (17.5), tied for fourth in blocked kicks (1), and ranked seventh in forced fumbles (2).

Over the course of his career, Knox finished with six top-ten marks in Saints history, ranking fifth in blocked kicks (1), seventh in yards from tackles for loss (123) and yards from sacks (78), eighth in forced fumbles (3) and sacks (12.5), and ninth in tackles for loss (23.5).
