The following was written on the 2003-04 Men's Basketball Team's Hall of Fame Plaque.

The 2003–04 Siena Heights University men’s basketball team finished with a 29–7 overall record and a 10–2 mark in WHAC play. The Saints captured the WHAC Regular Season Championship and earned a berth in the NAIA National Championship Tournament as the No. 15 overall seed. Siena Heights won its opening-round game before falling in overtime to the No. 2 overall seed and eventual tournament runner-up. Their 29 victories rank as the fifth-most in school history.

Throughout the season, the Saints claimed four tournament championships, including the Maple City Classic, Tri-State Tournament, Clarke Tournament, and St. Francis (Ind.) Tournament.

Doug Gray was named WHAC Player of the Year and earned First Team All-WHAC honors. Lloyd Cowles and Jason Rennie were named Second Team All-WHAC, while Greg McPherson earned Third Team All-WHAC recognition. Cowles and Andre Johnson were selected to the WHAC All-Defensive Team, with Gray and Rennie earning Academic All-WHAC honors. Gray received NAIA Second Team All-American and NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, while Cowles and Rennie earned NAIA Honorable Mention All-American recognition.

The Saints featured six future Hall of Famers—Lloyd Cowles, Perry Gilbert, Doug Gray, Greg McPherson, Bobby Plumer, and Jason Rennie—and were coached by Hall of Fame coaches Fred Smith and Al Sandifer, along with SHU Hall of Famer Byron Johnson.
