The following was written on Steve Bennett's Hall of Fame Plaque.

Steve Bennett played for the Saints from 1995–96 through 1998–99 and was a dynamic presence in the backcourt. In 1998, he was named MVP of the National Catholic Tournament and later earned Co-MVP honors for the Saints in 1999. Bennett became the 22nd member of Siena Heights’ 1,000-point club, finishing his career with 1,144 points. A reliable perimeter shooter, he connected on 37.06 percent of his three-point attempts. Bennett also recorded 152 assists and 127 steals during his career. He was part of one WHAC Conference Championship team, three WHAC Tournament Championship teams, and four NAIA National Tournament teams.
