The following was printed on Darryl Smith's Hall of Fame Plaque.

Darryl Smith played for the Saints from the 1980–81 season through the 1983–84 season. He earned First Team All-District 23 honors once and was named the MVP of the 1983–84 Saints. By the end of his career, Smith held the program record for most career blocks with 111. He also set the single-season rebounding record with 287 rebounds in 1982–83, as well as the single-season blocks record with 76 in the same season. Smith scored 610 points in his career and collected 654 rebounds, which ranked second in program history at the time.
