Jim Walrod competed for the men’s golf program from 2001–02 through 2004–05, building one of the most distinguished competitive résumés in program history. A two-time First Team All-WHAC selection, Walrod earned conference honors during both his sophomore (2002–03) and junior (2003–04) seasons after posting league scoring averages of 77.0 and 78.2, respectively.

In each of those seasons, Walrod finished with the sixth-lowest individual score in WHAC play, a level of consistency that placed him among the conference’s elite and secured his First Team recognition. His leadership extended beyond his play, as he served as a three-time team captain, exemplifying dedication, competitiveness, and integrity throughout his collegiate career.

Walrod’s excellence was also recognized academically and institutionally when he was awarded the Thomas Emmet Sr. Award, honoring the top junior male and female student-athlete at Siena Heights University. Over the course of his career, Walrod captured two individual tournament victories and recorded numerous top-five and top-ten finishes, further underscoring his impact on the program.
