The following was printed on the 1996 Softball Team's Hall of Fame Plaque:

The Siena Heights Saints Softball - 1996 team captured its fourth consecutive WHAC Championship and also won the WHAC Tournament Championship. The Saints finished the season with a 35-12 record, with 35 wins standing as the second-highest single-season total in program history. Their .745 winning percentage ranks as the fourth-best mark in program history.

Offensively, the 1996 Saints recorded 400 hits — the third-highest single-season total at the time. The pitching staff was dominant, posting 256 strikeouts (2nd in program history) and a 1.49 team ERA (3rd in school history). Defensively, the team recorded a .957 fielding percentage, the third-best mark in program history, while committing only 55 errors.

Becky Martinez was named WHAC Player of the Year. First Team All-WHAC honors were also earned by Martinez, Shannon Bezeau, Robyn Humes, Kerri Webb, and Darlene Lizyness, while Jenni Fox earned Honorable Mention All-WHAC recognition.

The roster featured five Hall of Fame members: Bezeau, Humes, Shana Lubahn, Martinez, and Becky McCreery. The team was coached by Hall of Fame softballs standout Shelly Lizyness and Tanya Dickerson.
