The following was printed on Karman Milner's Hall of Fame Plaque:
Karman Milner stands as arguably the greatest tennis player in Siena Heights history. A prodigy from an early age, she rose through the junior ranks in the United States as a top‑ten singles player and a top‑five doubles competitor. Her talent earned her an invitation to the 1984 Olympic Trials, but a family move to Brazil shifted her path. There, she joined the Brazilian National Junior Team and went on to win the Brazilian National Title.
When Milner returned to the United States, her journey eventually brought her to Siena Heights, where she became a dominant force on the court. During the 1992 season, she entered the NAIA National Championship Tournament undefeated in both singles and doubles play. Competing at the No. 1 singles position, she defeated every opponent she faced. She also anchored the Saints’ No. 1 doubles team, helping them maintain a perfect record throughout the season.
Milner’s leadership propelled the Saints to the district championship, where they narrowly missed the title by a single point. Even so, she and her doubles partner advanced individually to the NAIA National Tournament and continued their impressive run until an untimely injury brought their season to a close.
