The following was written on Kayla Hinton's Hall of Fame Plaque:
Kayla Hinton was a guard for the Saints from 2022–23 through 2023–24.
Hinton earned First Team All-WHAC honors once and Second Team All-WHAC honors once during her career. She averaged 13.22 points per game, the seventh-best mark in SHU history. Her 221 career free throws ranked ninth all-time upon her graduation.
In the 2023–24 season, Hinton recorded 134 free throws made (4th), 182 free throws attempted (4th), and 134 assists (3rd), all of which placed her among SHU’s single-season top ten. She also set the single-game school record for assists with 12 against Washington Adventist in 2022–23.
Hinton was a key contributor on the final two NAIA National Tournament–qualifying teams in SHU women’s basketball history.
