The following was printed on Emily Burkman's Hall of Fame Plaque.
Emily Burkman was a standout defender for the Saints from 2014 to 2017 and is one of the most decorated athletes in Siena Heights history. Over her illustrious career, Burkman was named an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American three times and earned First Team All-WHAC honors on three occasions. She was also a two-time Academic All-WHAC selection and received NSCAA/USC All-Academic recognition in 2016.
A key contributor to the 2017 WHAC Tournament Championship Team, Burkman brought consistency and leadership to the Saints’ back line. She appeared in 82 games and started 76 of them — both marks ranking 10th in program history. Offensively, she added 9 goals and 10 assists over her career, making her impact felt on both ends of the field.
